Parking next to Copenhagen Zoo

You find different parking options close to the entrance of the zoo. It is divided into two different areas – see the map further down this page.

 

Area Code 2000

This Area Code covers parking spaces along Roskildevej and the Frederiksberg section of Søndre Fasanvej are subject to the rules of the Frederiksberg Municipality for public parking spaces. Remember to register your parking digitally via EasyPark, ParkMan, or ParkOne apps or via the nearest parking meter. On Sundays and public holidays, parking is free in this area.

 

Area Code 3319

The parking lot along the Søndermark section is not subject to Frederiksberg Municipality's parking regulations, and a parking license cannot be used. It is paid parking all day every day. The price for parking is DKK 20 per hour. Payment is made through your parking payment app or parking meter. You also find 3 disabled parking spaces and one motorcycle space at the parking lot – both of them are free.

Note: EasyPark charges a 15% fee upon registration. EasyPark and Copenhagen Zoo have no collaboration.

 

Payment via machine

You can purchase a parking ticket at the parking meter near the entrance area of Copenhagen Zoo. If you park in the parking lot along Søndermarken (area 3319), you should use the machines in the specific area.

 

Payment via the municipality's website

You can purchase a parking ticket online via the Frederiksberg Municipality's website. Follow the link below and go directly to the municipality's webshop.

 

Note: A parking ticket is called a 'parking license' on the municipality's website. It can be purchased here.

 

Please note that several of the surrounding side roads to Copenhagen Zoo are private, meaning that parking for unauthorized individuals is prohibited.

On the map you can see the two area codes that you should use depending on where you park near Copenhagen Zoo.

 

No spaces right next to the Copenhagen Zoo?

If the parking spaces next to the zoo are occupied, there are more parking spaces behind Frederiksberg City Hall (the same rules apply as for other areas of Frederiksberg) or on Ny Carlsberg Vej, from where it is a 10-minute walk to Copenhagen Zoo through Frederiksberg Have and Søndermarken.

 

Parking in Valby

You can also find parking options in Valby. The price depends on the day of the week and the time of day you wish to park. It is possible to pay for parking at ticket machines in the area, via parking apps, or through the municipality's website.

 

Parking in the parking garage at Rema 1000

It is also possible to park in the underground parking at the supermarket Rema 1000 on Søndre Fasanvej for a fee.

 

 

Parking at Carlsberg City

You can also park your car in one of the many underground parking facilities in Carlsberg City. From the underground car parking, it only takes about 15 minutes to go to Copenhagen Zoo on foot.

 

Are you coming in an electric car?

There are over 150 charging points in the underground parking facilities in Carlsberg City. Prices and conditions are stated in the underground car parking, and payment can be made via payment machines and parking apps on your smartphone. PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO COPENHAGEN ZOO

You can take the train to Valby Station or the metro to Fasanvej or Frederiksberg Allé. The stations are all 1-1.5 km away from Copenhagen Zoo. You can also take bus 7A, which stops in front of the entrance to the zoo.
